Step by Step

Soak your bamboo whisk in water, this is called blooming.

Sieve 1–2g of matcha into your chawan bowl. This is the recommended serving for 1 cup.

Add 30ml of hot (never boiling) water. 80 degrees is best.

Whisk in a zig zag or ‘w’ motion until your matcha is frothy and bubbles start to form.

Depending on your preference, pour your matcha over iced or hot milk. Enjoy!
